Stroke Survivors and Caregivers

Description of the group:
The Ontario Brain Injury Association celebrates 20 years of peer support. 

• The FREE Peer Support Program offers understanding, emotional, social and informational support between people who share similar experiences after brain injury or concussion.
• The program is open to both survivors of brain injury/concussion and direct caregivers who are 18 years of age and older. Participants must reside in Ontario, Canada.
• Mentors and Partners are matched based on similar experiences, needs and personal interests.
• Connections between Mentors and Partners generally takes place over the phone or email once per week for a 1 year period.
• The program is coordinated through 16 local brain injury associations across Ontario, making it possible for people to be matched province-wide.
