4. Confirm The Need For A New Group

Step Four | Confirm The Need For A New Group

Starting a new peer support group takes time and effort. It’s important to make sure that people in your community need this group. The best way to find out is by asking people who have had a stroke. Your organizational partner can help you create and conduct a survey to gather this information.

Tip: If you can’t do a community survey right away, that’s okay! If you already have a few members, it shows there is a need for the group. You might consider doing a survey later on to help grow the group.
