Finding Volunteers

Finding Volunteers

Volunteers are important for handling daily tasks and helping run the group.

To find volunteers who have experienced a stroke, you can:

  • Ask current group members if they want to help.
  • Reach out to places where you promote your group, like local healthcare clinics or hospitals.
  • Connect with other peer support groups to see if any experienced members are available.

For volunteers without personal experience with stroke, consider:

  • Local volunteer organizations.
  • Your organizational or local partners.
  • Spouses, families, or friends of group members.
  • Students from nearby colleges or universities.

Tip: Some roles may need special training. Check with your organizational partner or local volunteer agencies for training opportunities.
